Perkins, Jessica M.

Left us to be with her father, Robert J. Perkins, November 18, 2022, age 39.  Cherished and loved mother of Nathaniel Epperson and Arianna Perkins-Epperson. Beloved daughter of Lynnette (Howard) Kaufman. Dearest sister of Sarah (Brad) Davis, Joshua (Michelle) Perkins, Micah (Nova) Kaufman, Robyn Kaufman, and Lawrence Kaufman. Further loved by many other relatives and friends.

Jessica loved and cherished her children. She was a wonderful cook, loved helping others, and would give you the shirt off her back if needed. She worked at Brookdale Senior Living as a cook, previously working at Mission Creek in Waukesha, WI. Her cooking skills were accelerated by her job. Her passion was to make sure the people in her care would get nutritious meals, meet their dietary needs, and be delicious at the same time. She would make sure others had food for the holidays and made the best greens. Jessica lived hard, played hard and loved hard.

She enjoyed playing karaoke (even though she had a tin ear.) She would sing with her daughter and the one song she loved Arianna to sing was “Rise Up” by Andra Day. Her musical talent started in grade school at Townsend School where she learned to play the Viola by Toni Wagner. She and her brother played in the All School Concert Downtown Milwaukee when she was in grade school. She then went to the flute, where she played  first chair while attending the High School of the Arts. She enjoyed playing games with her family and friends, Cards Against Humanity was one of her favorites. She loved doing gel pen drawing from Adult Coloring books, where she would leave 1 mistake purposely (it was her trademark) to show NOTHING has to be perfect.

“Rest easy, have fun with your dad, we love you mom, we will continue to make you proud.”

Public memorial to be held at St Catherine’s Church in December.
