In Loving Memory of Jeffrey R. Lahr
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Jeffrey Raymond Lahr, who left us on February 9, 2025, at the age of 77. Jeff will forever be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, and proud grandfather. His generous spirit, sharp wit, and kind soul touched everyone he encountered. His signature smirk was a sure sign that laughter and a clever remark were soon to follow, brightening the lives of all who knew him.
Jeff was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rosann, and is now reunited with her in eternal peace. He leaves behind his daughters, Nicole (Brian) Pearson, Michelle (Tim) Drankus, and Angie (Mike Graham) Lahr, along with his cherished grandchildren, Brianna, Aubrey, Sawyer, Jacob, and Jackson, each of whom brought him endless joy.
Jeff will also be deeply missed by his sister, Linda (Harry) Kavalary, and his extended family, including sisters-in-law, Patricia (Joseph) Loeser, Teresa (Kevin) Burke, brothers-in-law, Anthony (Virginia) Erato, Thomas (Heidi) Erato, Tim Stouff, Richard Lange, and nieces and nephews, Mike, Joe, and Jimmy Kavalary, Tommy Stouff, Kristin Miller and Brian Loeser, Michael, Erika, and Ryan Burke, Jessica Navarro, Mike Erato, Lucia and Sofia Erato, aunt, Ruth Gamroth, uncle, Ernie Lahr, and Misha (Steve) Schwinn, who he considered family. He will also be fondly remembered by many extended family members and dear friends whose lives he touched with his warmth and humor.
Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and Raymond Lahr, his in-laws, Anthony and Rose Erato, and his siblings, Kathleen Lange, Sandy Stouff, and Kurt Lahr, along with his nephew, Aaron Erato.
A lifelong lover of sports, Jeff found great joy in both playing and watching a variety of games. Whether it was softball, football, or bowling with friends, his enthusiasm was contagious. Nothing would deter him from supporting his children and grandchildren at their sporting events, as he was always their biggest cheerleader. He also cherished his trips up north to the family farm, where countless hours were spent hunting, fishing, and creating lasting memories with his uncles and cousins. Jeff’s love for games extended beyond sports, as he could often be found engaging in spirited rounds of cribbage, Bingo, or card games with friends and family, filling the room with laughter and joy.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Castle Senior Living and Hospice for their exceptional care, kindness, and compassion over the past three years. Their support gave Jeff and his family comfort and peace during his final years, and we are forever grateful for their gentle care.
In honor of Jeff’s wishes, his daughters will host a casual gathering to celebrate his life on Saturday, February 15, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at 9324 South Breakwater Blvd, Oak Creek, Wisconsin. Please join us as we remember a man whose love for his family, quick wit, and generous heart will continue to inspire us all.
