Mrochinski, Janice M.

With family by her side, Janice Marie Mrochinski (nee Coda) found peace and passed from this earth into the waiting arms of her loving husband and guardian angel, Ted, on November 26, 2022 at the age of 84.  Loving mother of Paul (Sandra) of Bristow, VA; Ann (Chuck) Johnson of Neenah, WI; and Matt (Lisa) of Campbellsport, WI.  Proud grandmother of Abigail (Simon) Gatchell and Jacob Mrochinski; Liam, Caleb, and Brenna Johnson; Sarah (special friend Joe), Hannah (fiancé Dean), and Zachary Mrochinski. Great-grandmother of Easton and Reese Gatchell.  Further loved by other relatives and friends.  Jan was born in Berlin, Wisconsin to Joseph and Gertrude Coda(nee Formiller); Jan was the youngest of four children.  Jan was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and sisters-in-law.

Jan married Ted in Milwaukee in the spring of 1961 and soon thereafter they began what mom described as her greatest achievement and her proudest accomplishment…their family.  Mom had an amazing capacity to love both family and friends and a never-ending willingness to help others.  She enjoyed being out of doors and her greatest joy was spending time with those she loved; whether it was supporting her grandchildren in their various endeavors, walking with friends, gardening, or cross-country skiing. Jan loved animals and had a bottomless pocket of dog treats!  Jan was a faithful servant of St. Agnes Catholic Parish in Butler as a Eucharistic Minister, active member of the parish Grief Committee, and volunteer in the Parish School library where she read to the children regularly.

The family is forever grateful to the staff at Valley VNA Senior Care in Neenah, WI for the care, love, and compassion they provided to mom.

In lieu of flowers the family encourages donations to the St. Agnes Parish School Library and Valley VNA Senior Care in mom’s memory.

A celebration of Jan’s life will begin with a gathering at St. Agnes Church (12801 West Fairmount Avenue, Butler, WI) on December 14th at 11:00 AM, followed by a memorial mass at 12:00 PM. A light luncheon will follow the mass in the Parish’s Kemp Hall at 1:15 PM.
