Frank Gibson Walter, Mister Safety, found eternal peace on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at the age 74. Loved by his enduring wife of 22 years, Lori Walter (Mcghee). Survived by son Richard R. Walter, step daughter Natasha Lindow-Hilgendorf and her husband, Gregory Hilgendorf, and his devoted brother Perry Walter. Also survived by his other family members and friends. Frank was a loving father, who was beloved by so many. He led the way in pioneering the safety measures that are still incorporated in today’s trucking standards. Frank had a passion for helping others and devoted his life to special causes which included time volunteered with the fire department as well as the Boys and Girls Club. He was also a Faith Leader with various duties which included passing of the offerings, ushering, communion aide in his church group, and prayer circles. He loved to also provide coach rides to various sporting events and group outings to the church congregation, as he loved to utilize his CDL license. His favorite sport was baseball and was devoted to the Milwaukee Brewers. His love for the team was something he shared with his family. Frank made life during retirement one of leisure, travel, and devoting extra free time to transporting guests around town at a part time job for a hotel. He was exceptional at making people feel special and appreciated.

Frank and his wife, Lori, loved to entertain. He was a grill master, who was able to make anything on it. Some of his most memorable moments in life, were when he was the Chef. Everyone loved his macaroni and cheese which was a staple and requested by all at any family gathering.

He will be missed by all who loved him and his memory will live on forever in our hearts.
