Forrest passed away peacefully on Tuesday April 10, 2018 at the age of 96, at the Arboretum Assisted Living in Menomonee Falls Wisconsin. He was under the care of Vitas Hospice the past three months.
Preceded in death by his parents Beno and Ella, step father Guy Gardner, and wife Jeanette. He is survived by his two sons, James (Margaret) and Ronald Kupfer. Dad will be missed by his family, friends, and staff at the Arboretum and Vitas.
Forrest was a World War II Army Veteran and served June 20, 1942 to January 13, 1946. He was assigned to Medical Detachment #22 stationed on a hospital troop ship (Jarrett M. Huddleston) transporting men from European Theatre of Operations and acted as a postal clerk of ship.
He later worked for American Motors and then transitioned to a job at the U.S. Postal Service, where he worked for 25 years before retiring in 1986.
A private service to be held at Holy Cross Cemetery Chapel in Milwaukee.
