Born October 18th, 1925   –   Born to Eternal Life October 22nd, 2020

Elizabeth Dagmar Kenehan-Schuit (nee Benjamin) passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2020, just 4 days after her 95th birthday.  We were blessed that she went quickly and peacefully and did not suffer.  She was able to enjoy life up to the last minute.  She loved sports, puzzles, music, church, making people laugh, going for rides anywhere, and being with people.  She spent many years in Florida.   Medical issues forced her to return home to be with her loving family.  She spent the last 5 years of her life with her family in Glendale.

Daughter to Valborg Johanna Marie Benjamin and Archie Ward Benjamin.  She was born in Neenah, WI.  Preceded in death by husband Dennis M. Kenehan.  While in Florida she met her second husband, who preceded her in death, Vince Schuit.   Elizabeth was mother to 2 daughters, Marie Duane (Perry) and Joan Blowers.   Joan has a daughter Sheila Pykett (Tim) and they have a daughter Maya.  Maya is Elizabeth’s great-grandchild.  Joan has a son, Shawn Blowers.  Patricia Zarneke is Elizabeth’s stepdaughter from Vince Schuit.

She was active to the very end.  She went to many gatherings and will be missed by many.  Our sorrow is lightened by knowing her eternal future is secure.

Elizabeth and my husband Harry loved to tease each other. At first it was tentative but then as they got to know each other better it was so much fun listening to their banter. Harry loved to give Elizabeth shoulder rubs. I think Elizabeth reminded him of my mom whom he dearly loved. I’ll miss her smile.

Dear family (for you all feel like family to me), i am so saddened by Betty's passing though in a well-lived life there is much to remember fondly. That is so with your mother. Things that stand out were her welcoming nature, her kindness to strangers and the joy she expressed in laughter whether it was her joke or someone elses.
