Elizabeth “Betty” A. Reuter (née Ball) passed away peacefully on August 3, 2025 at the age of 94.
Preceded in death by her loving husband, James R. Reuter. Beloved mom to James Reuter, Jr., Chris (Don) Winiecki, Trish (Peter) Schweitzer, Michael (Jeanne) Reuter, Scott (Pam) Reuter, Sheri (Craig) Nichols, Judy (Paul) Levine. Preceded in death by her beloved daughters, Carol Lindstadt and Elizabeth “Beth” Reuter. She was a dear grandma to 16 grandchildren: Lisa (Shawn); Joseph (Kayla); Ryan (Laura); Michael (Beth); Dennis, Amber, Daniel (Danielle), Hannah, Molly, Carly, Taylor, Adam, Andy (Taylor), Abby, Brianna, and Benjamin (Karina) and a proud great grandma to eight precious grandchildren. She was loved by many other relatives and friends.
Earlier in her career, Betty worked as a hostess at a few prestigious restaurants in the Milwaukee area. While hostessing, she took classes to become a cake decorator. Later she would become the lead cake decorator at Miller’s Bakery. Betty was happiest playing cards with her family and friends who came to visit her. She believed playing cards helped maintain a sharp mind.
Visitation will be held at St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church, 8661 North 76th Place, Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM. Service to follow from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM with internment to follow directly after.
A special thank you to all of the care givers at the Arboretum Assisted Living in Menomonee Falls, as well as the hospice staff who took good care of our mom.
