George R. Jacobson left a message on March 22, 2025:
Ed and I worked together at De Paul Rehabilitation Hospital for approximately 15 years (I was there 1973-1988 as Director of Research and Training and Chief Psychologist) . We shared a good deal of mutual respect and cooperation throughout that time. He was always the consummate administrator and professional, and under the leadership of the Hospital's president, Bela Maroti, we built one of the foremost treatment facilities in the region.
Rob Guilbert, Brown Deer, WI left a message on March 9, 2025:
Ed was my friend and professional mentor for the past 45+ years. The last time I saw him was in 2019 when he visited my Mom and me at Alexian Village, and he called me a couple of years ago to touch base and see how I was. He was an outstanding health care exec and social worker. He had me write several professional pieces for him, as well as request to honor his amazing brother (now deceased) in California for his work that was to be submitted to his Congresswoman in CA (unfortunately his brother's family didn't want to submit this; I still have it). I had the pleasure of meeting Heidi (who was also my Mom's attorney) and Neko at their home in Tosa. Ed was always smooth, well dressed, fun to be with, and smart as a whip. I will miss him. He was also a great progressive Democrat and advocate for the disenfranchised and overlooked people in our country. I say let's remember all of his attributes, especially this last one!
