Blowing a big kiss to Jenny Zuelke (Tom) in Utah for introducing Donna to her brother Bob, who made all the above possible. What a magnificent life.
A big hug to the Miller and Finn families, summers at the cabin, holidays, and endless and tremendous memories.
Where do you put 31 people for Christmas to celebrate our Savior’s birth, but down in Beloit at St. Jude Catholic Church, the wonderful memories.
A big thank you to Johnny Barnes who helped keep our cars running. We love you man.
Now wait a minute, not that we want to go on endlessly, but the Yoopers in upper Michigan, what a great group of the most compassionate God loving people you could ever meet. Yes, we are one big MAGNIFICENT family. Further loved by many friends, card playing buddy of Arlene and gambling adventurer of Alice. Father Arul, thank you for your quick response that morning, you brought us all so much peace. VITAS Healthcare 800-938-4827, VITAS.com, add them in your cell phone…extraordinary in care.
Our mother not only raised 8 children, sold shoes, worked at the deli at the IGA, crossing guard on the corner of Coffee and 159, firefighter, yes Richard, I’m going to mention the time you were playing with matches and the garage caught fire. Mom was on duty crossing the neighbor children to safety. She drove a school bus back in the day, when you could tag along for a ride, any preschool children you might still have at home and daycare centers, well they were not in existence yet. The older kids were already in school…What’s a wonder woman to do.
Factory worker GE, JC Penny’s the list is endless. Mother and her best work buddy Liz would move as a team. If you hired one, yes shortly you would be hiring the other. They car pooled, how many cars can a family of ten afford and keep operating. Oops that now brings me back to the Ford Fiesta ahh if you wanted to go in reverse, make sure you bring along a few friends for the pushing power. The stories are endless, so I’m going to end this with mother’s most famous line, “Go to church”.
I can attest you need the Big Guy on your side. Love and kisses and until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of his hand.

12-10-2021 Karen Barnes passed away today. Look for her mom and dad. Welcome her into the gates of Heaven I saw strength, determination and courage from my sister in law Karen. She realized her body was failing and Karen choose for no intervention. I believe she is letting us keep her comfortable, oxygen so she doesn't have to labor breathing. Morphine for the pain so her loved ones don't have to hear her moan and grown and suffer. But the strength to stay at home where she is the most familiar and comfortable with her loving husband Robert. Its her way of saying goodbye, stay strong and carry on. Be there for one another. Dying is a tough subject, we don't want to appear cavalier. All around should just respect her wishes, keep strong and at peace with one another. It's like let me go, but let me know, you were all there for me... taking the final walk...you were right there beside me.
