Darlene Kay Treder, age 79, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2021, surrounded by her entire family, lifelong friend Judy Hinze (late Gabe), and Beth Treder. Darlene was born in Milwaukee, WI on November 24, 1942, graduated from South Division High School and later earned an Associate degree from Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC).
Darlene is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Thomas. She is the beloved mother of Jill (Todd) Van Calster, Thomas (Laurie Meissner) Treder, and Peter (Bonnie) Treder. Loving grandmother to Brenna, Brett, Ellie, Josie, Abbie, Christopher (Cohrin) and great- grandmother to Chloe.
Darlene is the loving sister of Patrick (Karel) McGeary. She is preceded in death by her mother Leona (Hannon) McGeary, father Edward McGeary, sisters Coleen (Richard) Doss, Gloria (Jerry) Gdaniec and brothers Ken (Linda) McGeary, Gary McGeary, and Mike (Tina) McGeary.
She is the sister-in-law of the late Donald Treder, Pat (late Kenneth) Detro, Joan (Gene) Esche, and the late James (Harriett) Treder.
Darlene loved to travel, attend church and spend time with her grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Darlene’s name are appreciated to the Alzheimer’s Association. The family wishes to give special thanks to the caregivers at New Perspective Senior Living Waukesha.
