Dan was proceeded in death by the love of his life, Julie his beloved wife, along with their dear son Josh. He is survived by his daughter Sarah (Troy) and granddaughters Bella & Norah, brothers Mike (Carol), Tim (Debbie) & Jim (Lori) along with many nieces, nephews, grand nieces & nephews and many other families and friends. Dan introduced many to believe in Jesus as Lord & Savior.
Dan was an Airforce veteran who loved his country. His service lead him to a career in the aviation industry as a metallurgist using non-destructive testing techniques to inspect critical areas on aircraft, such as engine mounts and wing structure. Dan was highly recognized as a leader in the industry. He wrote many books and conducted training throughout the world. He often inspected the aircraft of famous people including Oprah Winfrey.
Dan was outgoing and loved to meet people. He enjoyed making people laugh and have fun. He loved reading and traveling with the love of his life! They especially loved Hawaii on family vacations. Dan & Julie were avid Packer fans and often went to games to cheer on the green & gold! Dan was amazing at answering questions while watching Jeopardy.
We love you Dan and will miss you dearly!

Dear Sarah, We are sorry for your loss and our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family. Dan was not only a consummate NDT professional but a husband and father (first), a friend to many, a great manager and colleague. I admired how Dan took many a young technician under his wing to mentor and train in the NDT profession. For those who worked with him he loved a good joke and was a pleasure to work with, he was always fair and looking to grow the business. His integrity was second to none and was admired by his customers and colleagues. From all his friends and colleagues at KC Aviation you are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. May he rest in peace
