Daniel Allan Holtz found peace on December 19, 2025, age 74. Born January 5, 1951, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin leaving to be mourned by family and friends. Dan graduated in the class of 1970 from Wauwatosa East High School. He went on to earn an Associate’s degree in nursing at Milwaukee Area Technical College. He pursued his career in Seattle, WA for 30 years as a registered nurse at University of Washington Harbor View Hospital. Then he returned to the Milwaukee area in 2016.
Dan was an avid Packer and Milwaukee Brewers fan. He visited Arizona for many years to watch the Brewers and Seattle Mariners spring training. In Arizona, Dan would stay with his dear friend Ed, whose family adopted Dan as an honorary family member.
Dan’s friends appreciated his deprecating sense of humor as well as his down to earth and humble persona. He also mentored others in the start of their nursing career, added the human touch to patients and staff, and was a team player. He will be missed by dear friends in Seattle, Milwaukee, and Arizona.
Dan was predeceased by his father, Richard T. Holtz, his mother Eleanor Holtz, his brother, Thomas R. Holtz (Connie), and sister, Susan Jane Wolf (William). He is survived by a brother, James Holtz, and sisters, Janet Quail (Paul) and Christine Brown (Reggie). In addition, he is survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
