Corinne Lillian Tetzlaff was born on August 26, 1937, in Milwaukee to Herbert and Gertrude. She was baptized at St. Martini. Corky was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on January 5, 2017.
Corky graduated from Lutheran High School in 1955. She married her high school sweetheart, Bill, in 1959 with best friends from high school standing up in their wedding. They had a son and twin daughters. Although they lived in Connecticut and Ohio, they moved back to their roots in Milwaukee to raise their children and be near family and friends.
Her work career ranged from working at her own business (temporary help agency), a furniture store, music publishing, Tupperware sales, and insurance. She showed her love of God through actions such as singing in the choir, participating in Altar Guild, and volunteering.
She enjoyed camping, reading, gardening, bowling and swimming. The family camped throughout the United States from Maine to Texas to Montana. Other camping excursions included visiting extended family in Wisconsin and adventures on weekends with “Dinner Club”. Corky enjoyed her travels in Europe. She loved to garden and passed this love onto her children. She was on a bowling league in the late 60’s and early 70’s; and later in life bowled again with her Silverado friends.
Over her life, Corky contributed to her community through the Martin Luther Ladies Guild, the Menomonee Falls Community Center, grade school reading programs, and the Blessed Again store.
Friends were very important to her. She stayed close with her high school friends, who met on a monthly basis for lunch, card games and dominoes. She also took pleasure in monthly get-togethers with Dinner Club friends. Thank you to all of these great friends, who kept in touch with her!
The last few years of her life, she lived at Silverado Memory Care Community. We greatly appreciate the love and care shown to Mom and us from Silverado and Seasons Hospice!
She was the beloved mother of Tim (Jeff McNeil) Prueser, Lynn (Brian) Kurth, and Kay (Steve) Starkey. She was cherished by her grandchildren Sedona, Meghan, Mya, and Evan. She enjoyed being with her grandchildren and helping them in any way she could. We give thanks to God for her strong Christian example.

How Great Thou Art
When Christ shall come,
With shout of acclamation
And take me home
What joy shall fill my heart
Then I shall bow,
With humble adoration
And there proclaim,
“My God, How great Thou art!”
