A Celebration of the Life Of

Christopher John Wilson

On Wednesday September 3, 2025, deeply loved, respected, and honored Christopher J. Wilson departed this life and moved to his heavenly home, where his captivating spirit now resides.

Christopher John Wilson was born on November 26, 1987 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, from the union of parents Carolyn Hendrix (Tony Hendrix caring stepfather) and Jerry Wilson (Saron Wilson loving stepmother). Chris’ strong family values and togetherness began as a child, being raised in a family that gifted his rearing to all family elders which he revered. His family was the true sentiment of his heart.

Christopher accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and was baptized at and early age at Damascus Missionary Baptist Church of Milwaukee. Christopher was always challenged and encouraged by the teaching and preaching of the late Reverend Dr. Wilkins of Damascus.

Chris’ light-hearted spirit was evident in his spontaneous sense of humor and desire to make sure that everyone, as he would say, is “good”. As a young child, Chris attended Urban Day School and Mount Olive Lutheran School. During his middle school years, he participated in the Men of Tomorrow Program which provided life experiences which developed Chris leadership and Communication Skills. While in High School, when not playing on the football team, he could be found cracking jokes in the bleachers of a school athletic game. Whether he was laughing at his cousins, supporting his siblings or just cheering, Chris was always around to support and lend a hand. Chris graduated from Messmer High School in 2006.

He carried his charm and wit to the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, where he poured his family values and paternal legacy into the brotherhood of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Zeta Iota Chapter. During his collegiate tenure, he also served as the Vice President of the Black Student Union, further dedicating himself to the servitude of his peers on campus, and in the community. Though Chris became involved in different service organizations, he made sure to always support his younger brother, Michael. He shared with Michael some of his best collegiate life affiliations.  He exemplified an authentic brotherhood through the love he showed to his family.

His desire to serve others led him to a position as a Paraprofessional with Milwaukee Public Schools for several years. Dedication and hard work landed Chris a much-embraced career with Milwaukee Tool, where he surpassed the expectations of management. He was excited to be part of the Milwaukee Tool future business endeavors and brought a strong work ethic to his team. As with any commitment he made, Chris gave his all and left a lasting impression upon many co-workers.

Funeral Service will be on September 20, 2025. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM, and the Homegoing Celebration will be from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at New Testament Church, 10201 West Bradley Road, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

All floral arrangements should be delivered to the New Testament Church Office at 10201 West Bradley Road, Milwaukee, WI  53224.

The interment will take place after the service at Wisconsin Memorial Park 13235 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin.

The repast will take place at the New Testament Church Family Life & Education Center.
