Charles S. “Chuck” Jakobi, age 60 passed away unexpectedly on Monday December 30, 2024. Chuck was born on June 14, 1964 in Waukesha, Wisconsin to Harry and Patricia (nee Schneider) Jakobi. Chuck grew up in New Berlin and graduated from New Berlin West High School in 1982.
Chuck had many interests and hobbies. Among them being his dedication to church. He attended and volunteered in a number of capacities for the past 20 years. He was also a member of the Prospect Lions Club. Taking great joy in planning some of the food for the 4th of July food. Chuck’s hobbies included spending time with friends, watching and quoting movies, and engaging in family activities.
Chuck dedicated nearly 40 years of his life to the trucking industry, working at Fairway Transit, where his commitment and hard work earned him the respect and admiration of all who knew him. As the owner of his own company, Chuck was known not only for his business acumen but also for his generosity, kindness, and unwavering selflessness.
A man of many qualities, Chuck had a unique sense of humor that could light up any room. His goofy nature and infectious laughter were cherished by family, friends, and colleagues alike. Whether he was offering a helping hand or simply making those around him smile, Chuck’s presence was a blessing to all who knew him.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Harry F. Jakobi and mother Patricia “Pat” E. Jakobi. He is survived by his three daughters Brooke Jakobi, Brittany (Matt) Guinane, and Bridget Jakobi. He is further survived by his siblings John (Denise) Jakobi and Jodi (Jim) Anderson, as well as nieces, a nephew and other relatives and friends.
In remembrance of Chuck’s life, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to the Prospect Lions Club, 262-679-2754.
A memorial will be held at Poplar Creek Church, 17770 West Cleveland Ave, New Berlin, Wisconsin on January 17th from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM with a service to follow at 5 PM.
One of Chuck’s wishes was to have a “party” to celebrate his time here. This was important to him. Everyone is welcome and we encourage you to join us at following the service at New Berlin Ale House, 16000 West Cleveland Ave, New Berlin, Wisconsin, at 6 PM to share in his memory and the joy he spread throughout his life.
