Mazarek, Anne (nee McVinnie) – December 20, 1940 – September 09, 2024
We have lost a very dear family member who will be remembered by friends and family in the US and England. She is survived by loving members of the Szczygielski and Mazarek families.
Anne was the only child of John and Margaret McVinnie. She moved to the US after her school friend had moved here previously and worked in New York for a while. After several months there, she moved to Milwaukee and adopted her high school friend’s family as her own. Eventually, she met and married a true Wisconsinite, John Mazarek, who came from a larger family.
Anne became a valued employee of St. Luke’s Hospital and had a happy work life, making new friends along the way. As a dedicated member of the Britannic Social Club and “the Brits,” she was noted for her wit and personality. She loved to garden, bake and keep in contact with friends on both sides of the Atlantic.
Many thanks to the staffs of Comfort Keepers, Meadowmere, Mitchell Manor, and Allay Hospice who all provided wonderful care for Anne.
Anne will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
