Allan Everett Kurth, 83, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2025, at Milwaukee Catholic Home with family at his side. Allan was born to the late Ruth Frieda Bloedorn Kurth and Earl Elmer Kurth on July 17, 1941, in Hartford, Wisconsin. After finishing high school, Allan moved to California for many years. He spent his time there in the Hollywood/Glendale area working at a photo lab, studying photography, and enjoying the sun and surf. He always loved the arts- photography, ballet, opera, paintings, and attending events with friends.
After moving back to Wisconsin, Allan settled in Milwaukee. He started his own business, Allan’s Cleaning Service, serving local businesses and private clients faithfully for 40 years. He also enjoyed the real estate market and owned several properties which he rented and managed. He was always looking for the next house to buy.
Allan will be remembered fondly as a loving brother and son, a favorite uncle, and wonderful friend. Allan leaves behind a legacy of loving others and accepting them for who they are. His motto was “Love Wins.” His heart was kind, gentle, humble, loving, fun, sweet, and generous.
Allan valued relationships above all things. Life was about loving others. He gratefully accepted what others were willing to give and didn’t demand more. He always made time to talk with his family and friends. He loved to shop, eat out with friends, get coffee on Saturday mornings, meet Wednesday evenings with the FAB friends group, attend family gatherings, travel the world, cuddle with his sweet cat, Rocky, and dream of better days. He was always the favorite uncle who did his best to stay in touch with his nieces and nephew even when living far away. He regularly sent cards, gifts, recorded messages, photos, and more. At family gatherings, Allan would be seen taking pictures of the day’s events which he would have developed and then mail to those in attendance. He always told his nieces to take pictures of the things they were doing so he could see them when they got together. He was so dear and will truly be missed!
Allan is survived by his nieces and nephew- Amy (Tracy) Biegler of Castle Rock, Colorado; Tom (Michelle) Simpson of West Bend, Wisconsin; Kelly (Ed Karla) Simpson of Chardon, Ohio; great nieces and nephews, and dear friends in Milwaukee and other areas of the country. Allan was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and Earl Kurth, his sister, Carol Kurth Simpson, and his brother, Earl W. Kurth, Jr.
The family extends a special thank you to his Community Care Advocates- Patricia Frank, RN, and John Peplinski, who faithfully and lovingly helped Allan for the past 2 years, St. Mary’s Columbia hospital staff and physicians, Milwaukee Catholic Home staff, and Horizon Hospice staff for their expert and compassionate care.
Allan did not want a memorial service. He preferred to move from this life into the next quietly and peacefully. Allan would absolutely love friends and family to share memories and good times over a KOPPS hamburger with raw onions, french fries, and a vanilla malt with 3 scoops of malt.
