Betty Jane Cassidy

With broken hearts, we announce the passing of our mom, Betty Jane Cassidy, on May 8, 2023, at the age of 98 in Milwaukee, WI.  Our mom was a loving, kind, generous woman with a fun sense of humor, strong faith, and determination to live and enjoy life and family.  She was the eldest daughter of Fred and Laura Schmitz, dear sister of the late Lois Clark.  In October 1948 she married our dad, Jim Cassidy, who was her true soul mate and forever dance partner.  He preceded her in death in 2008. They enjoyed 60 years of marriage in the home they built together.  She loved polka and country music, family gatherings, Dolly Parton, Molly B, Betty Boop, and Brewers, Bucks, and Packers games.

Mom leaves the legacy of four children, Colleen Worisek (Jim), Cathy Miller (Brian), Tim Cassidy (Kelly), and Char Zinda (Randy).  She also leaves behind ten grandchildren, Josh Worisek, Kim Worisek Olson, Justin Miller, Tammy Miller Jones, Maureen Cassidy, Kevin Cassidy, Trevor Cassidy, Dean Zinda, Isiah Zinda, and James Zinda, and five great- grandchildren, Madden Olson, Easton Olson, Ariana Jones, Josie Worisek, and Samantha Worisek, as well as dear niece Chris Clark Armistead, and Mom’s beloved dog, Wilma. We thank her wonderful neighbors the Crawfords, the Patins, the Halls and the Robbins for all they did for her.

She will forever be in our hearts.
